Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

About the Role

Rocky Mountain Pet Care is growing, and we’re looking for reliable, caring, pet-loving individuals to join our team. As a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker, you’ll visit clients’ homes to care for their pets through drop-in visits and dog walks. This is a perfect role for someone who loves animals, enjoys being active, and wants flexible, part-time work. Our Service area is from Kaysville to North Ogden, and everything in between.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide safe, attentive care for pets during scheduled visits
  • Walk dogs, feed pets, refresh water, and follow all client instructions
  • Send visit reports and photos through our software, Time to Pet
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with clients
  • Safely handle dogs of all sizes, including those who may pull
  • Travel to and from client homes using your own reliable vehicle
  • Work weekends and holidays as needed (our business is open 365 days a year)

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
  • Must pass a background check
  • Comfortable handling pets of all sizes, species and energy levels
  • Able to work/walk dogs in all types of weather
  • Responsible, punctual, and great with communication
  • Must follow safety protocols and RMPC policies
  • Must be able to commit to a changing weekly schedule based on client bookings

Important Notes

This is a part-time, W-2 employee position. We are open 365 days a year. Hours vary based on client needs.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

  • This job requires you to drive to and from clients homes. Do you have reliable transportation?
  • We operate 365 days a year. Are you able to commit to working on weekends and holidays if needed?

  • We provide overnight services in the clients homes. Meaning we sleep in their home with their pet. Is this something you would feel comfortable doing?
  • Cities we service are: Kaysville, Layton, Clearfield, Syracuse, Roy, Clinton, West Point, West Haven, Ogden and Hill Airforce Base. Do you live in one of these cities or plan to move to one in the near future?
  • Typical Schedule Needs:
  • Weekday clients: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–2:00 PM
  • Vacation clients: 3+ visits per day, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and major holidays
