Pawprints on the Go is growing, and we’re currently hiring for 3 different positions!

Established in March 2025, Pawprints on the Go is a small business and professional dog walking and pet sitting company that puts strong emphasis on genuine, dependable, and personalized care. But to us, this is about more than just dog walks and pet visits. We believe in building real relationships with our clients, bringing people together through their love for animals, and bringing joy, comfort, and positivity into the lives of both pets and their families.

Working with animals is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, but this is also a responsibility-driven job that requires professionalism, reliability, strong communication, and excellent time management. Our clients trust us with their homes and pets, and we take that trust seriously.

We’re looking for dependable, compassionate people who genuinely love animals and take pride in providing high-quality, personalized care.

Current Open Positions:

• Lombard / Glen Ellyn Route
• Consistent dog walking and drop-in visits primarily in the Lombard and Glen Ellyn areas.
• Carol Stream / Wheaton Route
• Consistent dog walking and drop-in visits primarily in Carol Stream, Wheaton, and surrounding areas.
• As Needed Coverage Position
• This position is best suited for someone with a flexible schedule who is dependable and looking to supplement their income through meaningful, responsibility-focused work. Availability will depend on client demand and coverage needs. Some weeks may be fully booked, while other weeks may have little to no work available. Overnight availability is required for this position.

Position Type:

1099 Independent Contractor

Hours:
Hours are dependent on client needs and schedules. Applicants must have availability during mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

What the job involves:

• Dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the day
• Safely handling dogs with different personalities and energy levels
• Providing enrichment, playtime, feeding, fresh water, and personalized care
• Administering pet medications when needed
• Sending detailed visit updates and photos through our pet care app
• Driving between client homes throughout your route
• Working independently while staying organized, dependable, and on time
• Maintaining punctuality, as staying on schedule is extremely important for both our clients and their pets

What we’re looking for:

• Genuine love for animals
• Dependable, trustworthy, and professional
• Exceptional communication skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Comfortable walking in all weather conditions
• Strong time management and organization
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with dogs preferred, especially anxious or high-energy dogs
• Someone who takes pride in providing exceptional care and customer service
• Applicants should be comfortable being physically active throughout the day and walking in various weather conditions and terrains

Pay:
$200–$800 per week depending on availability, route density, and willingness to take overnight visits + 100% of tips
