Dog Walker - Weekend Availability Required

***MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH A VARIETY OF DOGS, IN VARIOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS, AND ON A FLUID SCHEDULE. PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS REQUIRED.***

We are looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Part Time Weekend Dog Walker. The ideal candidate is someone who loves dogs and who can handle the unique challenges of various breeds and temperaments. You should feel comfortable placing dogs in various types of harnesses as well as leading them on regular leashes. Previous experience in pet sitting or pet care is a plus. You must know how to ensure the safety of our canine clients and communicate any unusual behavior. Other qualifications include a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Take one or more dogs on a walk at a predetermined time
• Follow all leash or harness requirements set by each owner
• Ensure the safety of all dogs under your care
• Communicate any strange behavior with owners or your supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience with dogs or in pet care
• The physical ability to walk and manage dogs of various sizes
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• A flexible schedule (you may be expected to work evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Dependable and trustworthy

Compensation: paid per service - up to $30/hr
