Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog walker/pet sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs during their walks. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy being outdoors and are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of pets in their care.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise
• Care for cats while their owners are away. Feeding, litter box scooping and socialization.
• Monitor the behavior and health of pets during visits, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
• Maintain control over dogs at all times, using proper handling techniques.
• Clean up after dogs during walks, ensuring a tidy environment for all.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and behaviors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
• Be comfortable commuting to Wyckoff and nearby towns
• A reliable car
• Attention to detail and reliability are a must!
• Be able to work independently
• Ability to work outside year-round
• A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners via an app

Job Type: Part-time
