Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role involves providing reliable and caring dog walking services, ensuring pets are exercised, safe, and happy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent handling skills, and experience in pet care or animal handling. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on animal well-being and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the outing
• Monitor dogs’ behavior and health during walks, responding appropriately to any signs of distress or discomfort
• Maintain clean and safe walking equipment and environment
• Follow specific instructions related to individual dogs’ needs, including special care or training requirements
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities and any concerns during walks
• Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, administering medication, or grooming as needed
• Uphold high standards of animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and handlers

Skills

• Experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
• Strong animal restraint skills and understanding of pet grooming are beneficial
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners
• Ability to handle animals safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies
• Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant experience, kennel experience, or equine experience is advantageous
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $12.50 - $15.50 per hour
