Position Objectives:

  • Assess the organization’s readiness and maturity for adopting IoT technologies using structured frameworks and scorecards.
  • Identify high-impact IoT opportunities aligned with strategic, operational, and security objectives.
  • Conduct ROI analysis, capability mapping, and technology benchmarking to determine feasibility and value.
  • Evaluate existing systems to identify integration needs, interoperability gaps, and potential enhancements.
  • Ensure all IoT recommendations comply with security, data governance, and sustainability standards.
  • Support the development of enterprise-wide IoT adoption strategies and transformation roadmaps.
  • Provide clear, business-focused insights that guide decision-making for IoT implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IoT initiatives with AI, data, and digital transformation goals.


Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct IoT maturity, readiness, and capability assessments using standardized scorecards and evaluation frameworks.
  • Analyze IoT use cases based on feasibility, performance, ROI, scalability, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Map existing device, edge, and cloud ecosystems to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities.
  • Evaluate IoT architectures including device-to-cloud connectivity, edge processing, and hybrid models.
  • Assess data ingestion, processing, integration, and governance practices for IoT-generated data streams.
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports, technology benchmarking studies, and impact analysis documentation.
  • Review IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, LoRaWAN, OPC-UA, Modbus, and cellular IoT standards.
  • Provide recommendations on IoT security, compliance, interoperability, and lifecycle management.
  • Support teams in designing or validating IoT solutions for smart infrastructure and public-sector initiatives.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to identify opportunities for analytics or automation using IoT data.
  • Participate in stakeholder workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and capability-building activities.
  • Ensure recommendations consider sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Track global IoT trends, standards, and frameworks to ensure alignment with industry best practices.


Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IoT consulting, technology assessment, or enterprise IoT strategy roles.
  • Proven experience conducting IoT readiness, maturity, or capability assessments using structured scorecards or frameworks.
  • Hands-on exposure to IoT ecosystems, including sensors, edge devices, connectivity protocols, and cloud/edge integrations.
  • Demonstrated capability in evaluating IoT use cases, analyzing ROI, performance metrics, and operational impact.
  • Familiarity with IoT data workflows, including data collection, integration, processing, and governance.
  • Working knowledge of IoT security practices, device management, and interoperability standards.
  • Experience preparing technology evaluation reports, benchmarking studies, and impact assessments.
  • Exposure to IoT platforms such as Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or private edge computing solutions is preferred.
  • Understanding of public-sector IoT applications, smart infrastructure, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives is an advantage.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer / Architect | AWS IoT Core Practitioner | IoT Security Certification
  • Excellent command of English is mandatory, while knowledge of Arabic is considered an advantage.
