Domestic Electrician

Job Summary:

The Domestic Electrician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential properties. The candidate must also have knowledge of solar systems, including installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should be a Diploma Holder in Electrical and have hands-on experience in domestic electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain domestic electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently.
• Install and maintain solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related solar equipment.
• Conduct inspections to ensure electrical systems comply with safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance of electrical and solar systems.
• Handle electrical load management and distribution within households.
• Prepare reports on work completed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and government regulations.
• Provide recommendations for electrical and solar system upgrades.
• Respond to emergency electrical faults when required.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma Holder in Electrical (DAE Electrical).
• Experience: Prior experience in domestic electrical work; experience with solar installations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wiring, distribution boards, switches, and household appliances.
• Working knowledge of solar systems (inverters, panels, batteries, net-metering basics).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and load schedules.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work on rooftops for solar setups.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
