POSITION TITLE: Domestic Violence Program Case Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full Time
POSITION REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SUPERVISES: n/a
ROLE SUMMARY: Uses a trauma-informed care approach to provide direct services to domestic violence program participants, as well as carry out program needs and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Regular and predictable attendance.
· Provide direct service for non-residential clients including but not limited to: Crisis intervention, transportation, advocacy, court accompaniment, shelter intake/discharge, safety planning and follow-up.
· Required to be on-call some evening and weekend hours.
· Maintain confidential case-notes and records, and assist with reports and statistical documentation in a timely and accurate fashion.
OTHER DUTIES:
· Work directly with residential clients providing needs assessment, support, shopping and nutrition assistance, advocacy, transportation, crisis intervention, and development and implementation of goal plans to assist the client toward independence and a violence-free future.
· Conduct house meetings with residential clients, assist with education and employment goals, and coordinate client needs for suitable housing, locating education/employment, child care, parenting skills, assertiveness and other skills/needs. Assist with shelter cleaning and upkeep, and enforce shelter house rules.
· Assist with raising community awareness as to the issues of domestic violence and the services of the DVP.
· Assist with the delivery of community presentations on the dynamics of domestic violence.
· Assist with the operations and duties of My Sister’s Closet on an as needed basis.
· Connect clients with clothing and/or accessories in My Sister’s Closet by providing a free pass coupon for those in need.
· Represent the agency at trainings, community functions and meetings.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the DVP Coordinator or Executive Director.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive and transport themselves and others reliably and safely. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing duties of this job, the employee occasionally works outdoors for short periods of time at all times of the year. The majority of time is spent in an office environment. Travel and off-site meetings are required. The noise level is usually moderate.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
