Draftsman

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using various CAD software. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of design principles to support our engineering and construction projects. The Drafter will collaborate with engineers and architects to produce accurate schematics that meet project specifications.

Duties

• Prepare detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
• Develop 2D and 3D models for mechanical design projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Create construction documents, including schematics and layouts for various projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into drafts.
• Utilize SketchUp and NavisWorks for visualization and presentation of design concepts.
• Assist in the preparation of project specifications and documentation as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.

Experience

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and NavisWorks is essential.
• Experience in drafting for construction or mechanical design projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with creating schematics and understanding construction principles is a plus.
• Knowledge of 2D animation techniques may be beneficial for certain projects.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
