Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman – Architectural Metal Fabrication with experience in architectural metal and structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication details while coordinating with engineering, production, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings for architectural metal and structural steel works.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop 3D models and drawings using Tekla Structures (preferred).
• Review architectural and structural drawings and convert them into fabrication-ready drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, production teams, and site teams to resolve detailing and constructability issues.
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO) when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Revise drawings based on design updates, site conditions, and consultant/client feedback.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing control procedures.
• Provide technical support to production and installation teams when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in architectural metal fabrication or structural steel detailing.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with Tekla Structures is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of fabrication processes, materials (MS, SS, Aluminum), and welding details.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
