Draftsman For Joinery Furniture -Junior Level

The Joinery Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications for all joinery and fit-out works. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and smooth coordination between production, site, and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, section details, elevations, and 3D views for joinery and fit-out projects.
• Develop accurate cutting lists, material take-offs, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Review and interpret architectural drawings, tender documents, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the production team, site engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Modify and update drawings based on feedback from consultants, clients, or project teams.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and quality requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Maintain drawing records, versions, and documentation for easy reference.
• Assist in preparing material samples, joinery design solutions, and technical clarifications when required.

Skills & Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of joinery materials
• Ability to create accurate and detailed drawings with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of joinery production processes and installation methods.
• Strong coordination, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
