Draftsman (MEP – Mechanical & Plumbing)

J7 Emporium is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Draftsman (MEP – Mechanical & Plumbing).

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, develop, and finalize complete shop drawings for all MEP works (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, chilled water, and fire-fighting systems).

2. Produce as-built drawings for the entire project based on site execution and modifications.

3. Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to ensure proper integration.

4. Interpret engineers’ designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.

5. Maintain and update drawing registers, revision logs, and documentation.

6. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and local authority standards.

7. Support the engineering and site team by providing drawing-related clarifications.

8. Collaborate with consultants and clients for drawing reviews and approvals.

9. Assist in preparation of material take-offs and BOQs when required.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Drafting (DAE preferred).

2. Strong command of AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM is highly desirable.

3. 3–7 years of proven experience in MEP drafting for large-scale projects with good typing speed.

4. Excellent understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.

5. Ability to independently prepare full project drawings (shop + as-built).

6. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.

7. Good communication and coordination skills with engineers, site teams, and consultants.
