We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman / Quantity Surveyor & Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, preparing detailed cost estimates, and managing quantities across all phases of construction projects — from tender stage through to project completion.
This is a combined role suited to a candidate who is equally comfortable working in CAD as they are handling bills of quantities, cost plans, and tender documentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Technical Drawing
- Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Produce shop drawings, layout plans, sections, elevations, and as-built drawings
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and up to date
- Manage drawing registers and ensure proper version control
- Interpret and translate design concepts into clear, buildable technical drawings
Quantity Surveying
- Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tender and construction phases
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Prepare interim payment valuations and final accounts
- Assess and process subcontractor and supplier claims
- Monitor project costs and report variances against budget
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports
Estimating
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and quotations
- Source and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify scope
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and procurement teams
- Maintain and update the company's pricing database
- Support the preparation of tender submissions and pre-qualification documents
RequirementsQualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Additional certification in AutoCAD, Revit, or a related CAD software is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar combined or standalone role
- Proven experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical drawings
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit experience is a strong advantage
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off processes
- Familiarity with construction specifications, standards, and building codes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with cost management software is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
