This role is responsible for performing work within various areas of the sand pits and operating various heavy equipment. This position's primary responsibility is performing all tasks that require the use of the dragline excavator. In addition, the position will follow all safety and plant rules while working as a member of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating an electric power-driven dragline with dragline bucket to excavate/move sand, gravel, mud, or other materials
• Conducting daily pre-shift inspections and documentation of the dragline operation and working conditions
• Generating work requests using the maintenance planning program
• Operating mobile and plant equipment to facilitate the set-up and operation of the dragline
• Operating other mobile and plant equipment, including skid steer, front end loader, etc. in a safe manner if needed
• Adhering to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Aiding in dragline repairs and relevant maintenance
• Maintaining housekeeping in areas of responsibility
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this position the employee must be able to travel through the aggregate plant to include walking over obstacles, climbing stairs and ladders, lift heavy or awkward parts, wear personal protective equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, fall protection, respirator, etc. In addition, the position is outdoors and will include exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions.
