Drainage Design Manager

Overview

Manages design delivery for multiple projects ensuring adherence to design criteria standards and scope development including procurement of consultants and thirdparty reviewers.

Responsibilities

• Manages design delivery for multiple projects ensuring adherence to design criteria standards and scope development including procurement of consultants and thirdparty reviewers.
• Develops engineering work scope reports, schedules, budgets, and monitors project progress to ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Leads engineering calculations, material estimates, designs and requisitions for procurement while ensuring design deliverables are submitted on schedule.
• Coordinates with engineers, contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure the best implementation and installation of services and supports project management with design reviews and audits.
• Assists Project Manager with technical, fiscal and administrative tasks, ensures client requirements are met and handles scope changes, change orders and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years experience with at least 5 years in the Middle East preferably Dubai
• Hydrology and Stormwater Engineering systems design background and previous experience of supervision of design teams is required
• Hands on experience in delivering master planning & design projects
• Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on a project. Proficient in SWMM Info Works ICM Sewer Gems design and analysis software; AutoCAD and Civil3D; CDE and BIM is required. Registration as a professional engineer is desired but not mandatory.
• Shall be aware about the requirements for the hydraulic design of Pump stations.
• Shall have good experience in creating utility cross sections as per requirements of local authorities in the Gulf region like RTA (Dubai) DMT (Abu Dhabi) MOMRA (KSA) etc.
