Drayage Dispatcher

SRP US logistics is a growing logistics and transportation company specializing in intermodal, drayage, and over-the-road (OTR) freight solutions. We're looking for a motivated and experienced Drayage and OTR Dispatcher to join our team and help drive our continued success.

Job Summary

As a Drayage Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of freight for both local port drayage and long-haul OTR operations. You will work closely with drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for drayage and OTR deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate with drivers regarding load details, route information, and delivery instructions.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Handle issues as they arise, such as delays, accidents, or driver concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of loads, driver hours, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with port terminals, warehouses, and customers for efficient freight handling.
• Maximize fleet utilization and reduce deadhead miles.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Use dispatch software (e.g., McLeod, TMW, TruckLogics) to manage load assignments and driver communication.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience dispatching in drayage and/or OTR freight.
• Knowledge of port and rail yard operations, especially [name of nearby ports if applicable].
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and driver HOS rules.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office.
