Job Purpose

Reporting to the Unit Logistics Coordinator, the role involves the timely, safe, and secure transport of customer linens between various client locations and the company’s processing facility in Bahrain, meeting strict delivery schedules and service quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Always adhere strictly to Bahraini traffic and transport regulations and promptly report any health and safety risks or incidents to the immediate supervisor.
• Assist in test-driving newly acquired vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and operational readiness.
• Oversee safe and secure loading of linens to maintain vehicle balance and avoid shifting during transit.
• Use efficient route planning and sound judgment to minimize delays and reduce fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate daily trip records and submit timely data to the Operations Assistant.
• Collect and deliver processed linen to various customer locations as per daily schedules and urgent requests to uphold customer satisfaction.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and hygienic to preserve fleet standards and prevent linen contamination.
• Interact with internal staff and external customers courteously and professionally, upholding company values in all exchanges.

Job Context

The Duty Driver serves as the essential link between hospitality clients and the linen processing unit. Timeliness and service quality are critical, as delays or miscommunication may directly impact on client relationships and overall business integrity. The role demands adaptability in navigating potential traffic congestion across routes in and around Bahrain, particularly during peak hours.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience

Educational Qualifications:

• Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent).
• Must hold a valid Bahraini Light Duty Driver’s License.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience within GCC.
• Familiarity with key routes and industrial zones across Bahrain.

Key Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Punctual, reliable, and customer-service oriented.
