DRIVER CUM HELPER

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery or transportation.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on the vehicle (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure, fuel levels) to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of working hours, mileage, and any incidents. Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries or transport.
• Emergency Handling: Respond appropriately to any emergencies or breakdowns, following company protocols.

Helper Duties:

• Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are secured properly to avoid damage during transit.
• Handling Goods: Handle goods with care, following specific handling instructions where necessary.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients or recipients during deliveries, providing assistance and answering questions as needed.
• Inventory Management: Assist in checking and verifying inventory during loading and unloading processes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work areas.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Valid Driver’s License: Possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items and prolonged periods of driving.
• Experience: Previous experience in a driving role, preferably with experience as a helper in logistics or delivery services.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.

Preferred:

• Geographical Knowledge: Familiarity with local and regional routes.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Customer Service: Experience in a customer-facing role.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Primarily working on the road and at various delivery sites, with exposure
• Hours: May include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on delivery schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 per month
