Position Hours: Monday thru Friday 10:00PM to 06:30AM.
Job Overview:
The Driver Manager is responsible for supporting and providing management of drivers completing nightly routes, aiding area mangers, and effectively communicating with customers.
This is a 100% on-site (non-remote) position in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Limited travel may occasionally be necessary for this position.
Essential Functions:
· Complies with all procedures outlined in CalArk’s Policy Manuals, Department Standard Operating Procedures, FMCSA Regulations, DOT and OSHA requirements.
· Manages a fleet of approximately 50 drivers while under dispatch, monitors drivers’ performance on route, ensuring delivery windows are met within customer requirements.
· Maintains a record all route exceptions during the driver’s route and communicates exceptions to customer and area management.
· Validates correct driver and equipment has been assigned to routes.
· Assist drivers on route when complications arise at delivery locations.
· Ensures all equipment issues are relayed to maintenance.
· Effectively Communicates exceptions or delays with customers and leadership.
· Verify all customer requests are completed by drivers.
· Develops freight recovery plans as required.
· Takes steps to ensure workplace conditions comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
· Works closely with the Safety Department, completes all request in a timely manner & ensures all needed events are unchanneled.
· Willing and able to learn more about the scope of the Warehouse Operations Department.
· Frequently provides updates of all potential or active breakdowns, accidents, & delivery issues to Operations Supervisor throughout the shift.
· Provide support to customers as need.
· Other duties as assigned by management.

· Effectively operates standard office equipment e.g., computer (software programs and email), telephone systems, calculators, and copiers.
· Proficiently utilizes computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
· Must be able quickly learn and comprehend new software that may be used daily.
· Ability to work overnight is a must.
· Will contact Operations Supervisor before departing at the end of shift.
Qualifications
· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
· One-year previous experience in transportation and compliance and safety practices is preferred but not required.
· A working knowledge of the FMCSA Regulations is recommended but not required.
· Experience with AS400, Omnitracs Road Net Anywhere, Omnitracs Services Portal is preferred but not required.
· Bilingual (Spanish) required.
