Under the supervision of the Drug Court Coordinator, serves as case manager for the drug court program and, as such, interviews clients, monitors compliance with and progress toward program goals. Assist drug court participants with referrals to appropriate community services along with individual treatment plans and prepares necessary reports along with attending and assisting in biweekly court sessions.
This position includes responsibilities for observing urine specimen collections. To ensure privacy and comply with standards or regulations, observers must be of the same sex as the individual being tested. The Drug Court program accepts both male and female participants. The Drug Court program has one female and one male case manager position to ensure that same sex urine specimen collection can be done. The male case manager position is the basis for the vacancy. Therefore, because this role solely observes all male Drug Court participants during urine specimen collections, the position requires a male staff member.
