We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist in the lab at Eastern State Hospital located in Medical Lake Washington. The Laboratory Technician 1 completes billing documents for reimbursement of laboratory tests and performs general clerical work to support the lab. Under general supervision performs patient blood draws, specimen processing and waived lab tests. Performs tasks necessary for CAP accreditation and maintaining compliance with Joint Commission accreditation and CMS certification. Maintains and monitors inventories and supplies including preparation of QC material and cleaning compounds. Responsible for cleanliness of laboratory including glassware. Will assist with implementation of LIS and EHR.
Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
