Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks to load, transport, and unload materials such as gravel, debris, or freight across designated routes.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure handling of all cargo.
• Follow established routes and schedules to deliver materials promptly while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of loads at job sites, ensuring proper placement for safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial driving capacity.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation; flatbeds, or freight trucks is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of route driving practices, traffic laws, and safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation.
• Previous delivery driver experience with a focus on route efficiency and customer service is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure ongoing safety and reliability.
