Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles with precision and safety.
• Load and unload freight, construction materials, or waste using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic systems.
• Drive route to various job sites, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of materials while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking manual transmission systems, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo details, and delivery records for compliance purposes.
• Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as needed to ensure safe transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or freight delivery vehicles.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with manual transmission operation and vehicle safety protocols.
• Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
• Knowledge of route planning, traffic laws, and safety regulations related to commercial driving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
