E-commerce Coordinator

About Us:
Alsip Home & Nursery is looking to strengthen our digital channel operations. We are seeking a capable, detail‑oriented E‑Commerce Coordinator to help drive online sales growth across Shopify, Amazon, DoorDash, and other platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product data, operations, marketing, and customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Catalog Management

• Manage product selection and listings across all online channels (Shopify, Amazon, DoorDash, etc.), in coordination with Buyers & Marketing leadership
• Maintain awareness of new inventory, promotions, services, and product discontinuations
• Prepare, collect, or refine product data (descriptions, specs, images) from vendors or internal sources for bulk upload (CSV/Excel)
• Conduct or oversee product photography, image editing, creative asset preparation, etc.
• Write or optimize product descriptions (creative copy) to align with brand voice
• Apply SEO / keyword strategies to optimize listing visibility and conversion

Order & Fulfillment Operations

• Process orders accurately, ensure attribution (channel, promotion codes, etc.), and coordinate with inventory systems
• Monitor and report sales analytics (KPIs, trends, exceptions)
• Oversee local pick-up orders and local delivery coordination
• Handle shipments: manage carriers/accounts, schedule pickups, procure packaging, and support packing & dispatch
• Act as a point of contact for customer service for online order inquiries, returns, exchanges

Warehouse / Physical Work

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Comfort working in a warehouse environment (temperature variation, physical demands)

Other / Cross-functional Tasks

• Assist in promotional campaigns, offers, bundling, and seasonal product launches
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and merchandising teams
• Help trouble‑shoot listing issues, platform errors, or integration discrepancies

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Flexible availability (including at least one weekend day during peak season or as needed)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to ask questions, learn new tools / workflows, and iterate
• Team‑oriented yet able to take ownership of end‑to‑end tasks
• Previous experience is a plus; we will train candidates who show aptitude

Required / Preferred Skills & ToolsRequired / Highly Desired

• Experience with Shopify or equivalent e‑commerce platform (product setup, inventory sync, category management)
• Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central or other omnichannel platforms
• Spreadsheet fluency (Excel, Google Sheets) — including ability to handle bulk data, formulas, lookup, pivot tables
• Basic image editing / creative tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
• SEO / keyword optimization for product listings
• Some experience with order / fulfillment systems or familiarity with logistics
• Comfortable handling both digital and physical tasks

Bonus / Nice to Have

• Exposure to Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, or feed management
• Experience with generative AI / content tools (e.g. GPT, image generation)
• Data analytics experience (e.g. SQL, BI tools, dashboards)
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software
• Understanding of multi‑channel integrations, APIs, or e‑commerce tech stacks

Compensation & Benefits

• $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience and fit)
