E-commerce Manager

Job description:

We’re seeking a highly motivated E-commerce Manager to own the daily management, growth, and optimization of our DTC Shopify storefronts and marketplace channels. This is a pivotal role for someone who understands how to drive measurable ecommerce results through data-driven decision-making, seamless digital experiences, and strategic roadmap execution. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product, operations, and development teams to deliver a best-in-class shopping experience. Responsibilities include optimizing site performance, implementing UI/UX enhancements, executing SEO strategy, merchandising product assortments, improving conversion rates, and driving website performance.

This role suits someone with a mix of analytical expertise and creative vision who thrives on improving KPIs such as traffic, conversion rate, AOV, and retention—while also executing projects and site optimizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a growth roadmap for Shopify storefronts and marketplace channels.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives to improve conversion rate, AOV, retention, and sales.
  • Stay current on ecommerce trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Manage daily Shopify operations (navigation, QA, site updates, merchandising).
  • Coordinate with developers to implement new features and optimize performance.
  • Ensure promotions, campaigns, and product launches are executed accurately.
  • Drive UX/UI improvements using heatmaps, A/B testing, and user behavior tools.
  • Collaborate with designers for intuitive, visually engaging experiences.
  • Execute SEO initiatives (site structure, taxonomy, metadata, on-page).
  • Ensure PDPs, PLPs, blogs, and landing pages are optimized for organic growth.
  • Oversee product assortment strategy and data accuracy across Shopify/marketplaces.
  • Optimize PDPs with content, photography, and merchandising rules (cross-sell, upsell).
  • Support marketplace strategy for Amazon/Walmart; monitor KPIs and vendor coordination.
  • Monitor performance with GA4, Shopify Analytics, and marketplace dashboards.
  • Generate reports with actionable insights to guide growth decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, inventory, and dev teams for alignment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in ecommerce management, digital merchandising, or site operations.
  • Proven success growing Shopify storefronts and marketplaces (Amazon preferred).
  • Strong expertise in SEO, CRO, and UX/UI best practices.
  • Hands-on with GA4, heatmapping, and A/B testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of digital merchandising and product content management systems (e.g., Salsify).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
