Purpose of the Position
The E-Commerce Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of all marketing, SEO, design, branding, and development activities across multiple eCommerce websites. The role ensures high-quality deliverables, on-time execution, and strong team productivity. This position acts as the operational anchor between teams, supporting the SEO Manager by converting strategic direction into disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
- Lead daily stand-up meetings for SEO, content, design, and development teams.
- Assign tasks with clear timelines, expectations, and accountability.
- Oversee weekly and monthly workload across 7–8 eCommerce websites.
- Provide evening or weekend availability during critical deadlines.
2. Productivity & Output
- Ensure each team consistently delivers high-quality work on time.
- Identify bottlenecks, delays, and performance issues immediately.
- Maintain task trackers, project timelines, and reporting dashboards.
- Guarantee strict follow-through on all deliverables — no excuses.
3. Quality Control
- Review all SEO outputs, content pieces, design work, and development updates.
- Push for corrections proactively before tasks move to the next stage.
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and assets.
- Ensure UX and conversion-focused thinking in every deliverable.
4. Operational Control
- Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, and process checklists.
- Resolve cross-team conflicts or escalations promptly.
- Ensure no task goes missing and no deadline slips.
- Enforce structure, discipline, and professionalism within the team.
- Manage resource allocation and team capacity planning.
5. Reporting & Accountability
- Provide daily performance summaries and weekly progress reports.
- Highlight risks, challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Shield the CEO from operational noise by owning all departmental execution.
- Hold each team member accountable for their KPIs and output.
6. Strategic Alignment
- Work closely with the SEO Manager to execute SEO strategies.
- Coordinate content calendars, design requirements, and marketing workflows.
- Support new website launches and major redesign projects.
- Ensure all marketing and eCommerce operations align with company goals and brand vision.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, SEO, or digital marketing.
- Strong working knowledge of SEO, content production, eCommerce UI/UX, and web development.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and command presence.
- Ability to drive team performance with high accountability.
- Experience managing multiple brands or websites simultaneously.
- Willingness to work extended hours during deadlines.
- Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven.
