Early Childhood Educator

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves working with children in preschool and daycare settings, focusing on their social, emotional, and educational development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students.
• Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
• Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote health and wellness.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special educational needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting lesson plans as necessary to meet individual learning goals.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Experience in preschool or daycare settings is highly desirable.
• Proficient in lesson planning tailored for young children’s developmental stages.
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ability to educate children through creative play, structured activities, and hands-on experiences.
• Experience working with children with special education needs is a plus.
• Knowledge of toddler care routines and best practices for nurturing young children.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old
• A high school diploma or GED, with preferred education in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• May require CDA credential or other relevant certification
• First aid/ CPR (or obtain within 30 days of hire); other assigned trainings
• Must Pass Background Check
• Hold a Valid Driver's License
• Open availability

Physical Demands

• Must be able to kneel, climb, jump, push, walk, stand and sit
• Must be able to hold average sized child
• Exposure to sun
