Editorial Coordinator

Leading publisher Kifayat is seeking to hire a coordinator for their editorial department. This is an office-based role. Candidate will be expected to take up the following responsibilities:

1. Act as a central point of contact between the editorial team, writers, and editors. Coordinate and facilitate communication to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of content. This includes relaying feedback, clarifying instructions, and addressing any issues that arise during the editorial process.

2. Track and manage editorial projects from start to finish. This involves creating schedules, setting deadlines, and monitoring progress to ensure that all assignments are completed within the designated time frame. Coordinate with writers and editors to ensure they have the necessary resources and information to complete their tasks.

3. Maintain high-quality standards for all content produced. Review and proofread written material for accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.

4. Collaborate with the marketing team to understand their requirements and objectives. Assist in developing content strategies, brainstorming ideas, and generating engaging and compelling content that aligns with the organization's goals.

5. Manage the outsourcing process by identifying suitable freelance writers or external agencies and overseeing their work. Coordinate with external contributors, and ensure timely delivery of outsourced content. Maintain a database of writers, their specialties, and availability.

Overall, an editorial coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the workflow between writers, editors, and the marketing team. Effective communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential skills for success in this role.
