This role is to be re-evaluated to create adequate focus on Head Offcie EHS. Role has been vacant & requires focus given the move to the CFC HO.
The purpose of this job is to drive the Environmental Health & Safety performance excellence with regards to culture & compliance to PepsiCo standards & local regulations across Head Office departments. Building & embed an EHS culture by raising awareness, engagement & ownership of relevant stakeholders & all HO employees.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure HO compliance to GEHSMS, Pepsico standards and local safety regulations. C, E
  • Develop & ensure implementation of all required EHS policies & EHS work practices within the HO C, E
  • Define & implement planned EHS inspections across all the EHS levels on regular intervals & report findings & action plans on myEHS. E
  • Ensure with key stakeholders (HR, Facilities, Security, tenants etc.) changes are managed under adequate Management of Change (MoC) to ensure compliance with Pep EHS standards. I, C
  • Investigate root causes of incidents including all injuries & illness occurring across Head Office. Identify adequate corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure incidents are properly & timely reported according to Pepsico standard. C, E
  • Lead implementation of EHS programs, processes & policies across HO including:
    • Partner with HR team to manage new hires onboarding.
    • Lead & update the risk assessment & task hazard analysis on annual basis.
  • Define adequate EHS working practices. D, I
  • Identify all potential emergency situations. Liase with all functions across HO to develop emergency response, business continuity & contingency plans. Follow up on implementation of emergency provisions & conducting the required emergency drills. I, C
  • Identify, align & spend EHS budget for HO (Opex & Capex) to mitigate/eliminate EHS risks & ensure consistent financial performance versus AOP. D, I
  • Liase with PPGA to conduct communications with external EHS governmental parties related to DCs such as Labour Office, Civil Defense & Environmental Protection Agency. C, E
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in a similar industry is required
  • Professional EHS certification is preferred
  • Functional EHS knowledge in local & international regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, vendor / consultant management, business knowledge required
  • Bachelor of Science / Engineering is preferred
  • Fluent Arabic & English is required
  • Computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel, etc.)
  • Change management experience
  • Highly analytical
  • Proven track record in driving cultural change in EHS
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, drive & achieve results through others
  • Excellent analytical & reporting skills
  • Strong internal & external communicator, influencer & negotiator
  • Ability to set & prioritize short & medium term objectives as well as long-term strategy
