E&I Engineer

Job Summary

The E&I Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and implement electrical and instrumentation systems for projects and plant operations.
  • Prepare and review electrical single-line diagrams, cable schedules, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and technical specifications.
  • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, control, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors during project execution.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Review technical documents, drawings, and vendor submittals.
  • Support HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within schedule and budget.
  • Prepare engineering reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in procurement activities, including technical evaluation of equipment and materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–10 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering within Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, control systems, PLC, SCADA, DCS, and field instrumentation.
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, and ISA.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe systems.
  • Experience in shutdown/turnaround projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control schematics.
  • Project management and team coordination skills.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
