PLC/Instrumentation Engineer

WINTER Refrigeration is seeking a qualified and motivated PLC/Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing industrial control systems and instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability in our production environment.

Responsibilities:

• System Design & Programming: Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, etc.) and HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Instrumentation: Select, calibrate, install, and maintain field instruments, including sensors, transmitters, flow meters, and control valves.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults in real-time to minimize equipment downtime.
• Project Management: Support facility upgrades and capital projects from conceptual design through to commissioning and documentation.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC) and internal safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical Engineer or Electronics Engineer with sound knowledge of Industrial Equipment)
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role within an industrial setting.
• PLC Expertise: Strong proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, S7 series PLCs, and Ladder Logic programming.
• Technical Skills:
• Solid knowledge of HMI programming and DCS.
• In-depth understanding of Siemens Automation products and industrial communication protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant engineering software tools.
• Ability to read/interpret complex electrical drawings and AutoCAD schematics.
