Electric Vehicle Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in EVs, including wiring, batteries, and charging components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for high-voltage systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain EV charging stations and power distribution systems.
• Test and monitor battery performance, replacing defective modules when necessary.
• Troubleshoot and update EV software, including firmware updates and system calibrations.
• Work with diagnostic tools to identify faults in electronic control units (ECUs) and vehicle management systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while working with high-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with other technicians to provide high-quality EV servicing.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and safety protocols specific to high-voltage repairs.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in automotive electrical systems, EV technology, or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE working with EVs or automotive electrical systems.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems, battery management systems (BMS), and EV diagnostics.
• Knowledge of EV charging standards (CHAdeMO, CCS, Tesla Superchargers) and power electronics.
• Proficiency in software troubleshooting, firmware updates, and ECU programming for EVs.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and use diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of EV safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
