Electrical Apprentice

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, learning essential skills and techniques that will contribute to their professional development in the field.

Duties

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both industrial and commercial settings.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform tasks such as wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Support the team in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs as needed.
• Gain familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations to ensure compliance during installations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Participate in maintaining a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
• Develop skills in frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts, including low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Experience on construction sites is a plus; candidates should be comfortable working in various environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on job sites.
• Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
