Electrical Commissioning Engineer | Oil and Gas/Petrochemical | Saudi Arabia
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute all electrical pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities in accordance with OPERCOM®️ methodology and project specifications. The role involves energization of substations, functional testing, and coordination with EPCC and Proponent teams to ensure safe and timely commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute all electrical pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities in accordance with OPERCOM®️ methodology and project specifications. The role involves energization of substations, functional testing, and coordination with EPCC and Proponent teams to ensure safe and timely commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise electrical pre‑commissioning & commissioning activities.
- Perform functional tests of circuit breakers, relays, protection systems, UPS, motors, and lighting.
- Coordinate and supervise HV network energization (up to 240 kV).
- Oversee switchgear and switchboard operations during commissioning.
- Review and approve commissioning procedures, check sheets, and dossiers.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and safe work practices.
- Support progress reporting and interface with construction and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical commissioning experience in oil & gas or petrochemical plants.
- Strong knowledge of HV systems, power distribution, protection systems, and substation equipment.
- Familiarity with OPERCOM®️ and ICAPS®️ is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems.
- Ability to supervise contractors during testing and energization.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Organized, methodical, and safety‑driven.

- Transportation – 10% of Basic salary will be provided by company
- Working hours and weekly schedule -8 hours/day 48 hours/week . Above 48 hours/week ,will be calculated as OT.
- Overtime policy - Above 48 hours/week ,will be calculated as OT
- Contract duration -Two Year. Contract can be renewed if both parties agreed.
- Visa and ticket provisions – 30 calendar days /year. Ticket 2500 /year total amount for both ways.

- Mobilization date -After successful Interview. Notice period within one month can be considered.
