Electrical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, and equipment sizing.
• Design power distribution systems (LV/MV), lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing/grounding, lightning protection, and ELV systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, voice/data, etc.).
• Perform lighting design using software such as Dialux / Relux.
• Conduct voltage drop, short-circuit, and cable sizing calculations
• Review P&IDs with respect to Control and safety requirements.
• Prepare and review of instrument wiring diagrams.
• Prepare/Review Instrument cable schedules.
• Review and approve vendor documents
• Technical Bid Evaluation.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents
• Preparation of cost estimation, value engineering, and reviewing contractor variations/claims.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, plumbing, and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical services.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes: IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, local authority regulations, and project-specific standards.
• Ensure electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and efficiency requirements.
• Support project planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
• Conduct site inspections, testing & commissioning support, and prepare technical reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead junior engineers/draftsmen.
• Having technical knowledge of solar system

As our ideal candidate, should have:

• BSc./MSc. in Electrical Engineering with 05 to 08 years of proven experience in Electrical Design (consultancy or design-build environment).
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, design principles, and construction practices.
• Experience in FEED & Detail Engineering in the Oil and Gas Sector will be plus point.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), ETAP/EasyPower, Dialux/Relux, and MS Office.
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel).
