Electrical Design Engineer - Automation Industry

1. Design & Development

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical and automation systems for industrial or commercial projects.
• Develop and review electrical schematics, control system diagrams (PLC, SCADA, DCS), and wiring layouts.
• Specify and select appropriate automation hardware (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, VFDs, etc.) and software tools.

2. Project Management

• Oversee automation projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and civil engineers.
• Prepare project documentation including schedules, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

3. Programming & Control Systems

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and SCADA programs.
• Implement control strategies for process automation and optimization.
• Ensure seamless integration of new automation systems with existing plant systems.

4. Commissioning & Troubleshooting

• Supervise installation, startup, and commissioning of automation and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control system issues in the field.
• Conduct system validation, testing, and performance verification.

5. Standards & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Review and approve technical designs to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in automation systems.

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and implement best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex problems.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
• Generate maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical and automation equipment.
• Report progress, technical issues, and solutions to management and stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month
