Electrical Draftsman – MEP (3–5 Years Experience)Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Draftsman – MEP with 3–5 years of experience in drafting and modeling electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, possess a strong understanding of MEP services, and be able to produce accurate shop drawings and construction documentation in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop electrical plans including lighting, power, small power, fire alarm, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, site requirements, and consultant comments.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and company standards.
• Assist engineers in preparing construction documentation and technical submissions.
• Review and maintain drawing registers and document revisions.
• Support project teams during design development and construction phases.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in MEP projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP is preferred.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, ELV, and grounding systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and MEP drafting practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BIM workflows and coordination.
• Knowledge of Navisworks is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
