Role Overview and Responsibilities:
Dhruva Space is seeking an
Electrical Engineer
to design and develop electrical systems for spacecraft applications. This role focuses on creating and optimizing electrical infrastructure, including power supply systems, and grounding systems, ensuring that they meet mission-specific requirements and industry standards. The role will require hands-on work in designing, testing, and supporting electrical systems used in spacecraft development.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the complete electrical design of spacecraft, including power requirements, backup and redundancy calculations, and electrical interface diagrams.

Design associated electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and mission requirements.

Perform power supply balancing, ensuring electrical systems provide optimal power distribution and backup solutions for spacecraft.

Conduct EMI/EMC control and removal strategies to ensure electrical systems operate smoothly without interference, meeting all regulatory standards.

Design and implement grounding/earthing systems, ensuring spacecraft electrical systems are safely grounded.

Design and implement cable harness systems for spacecraft, ensuring that wiring and connections are optimized for mission success.

Perform manufacturing, testing, and documentation of electrical systems, ensuring designs meet performance and safety criteria.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into spacecraft designs.
Candidate Requirements:

Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.

2-4 years in strategic control panel design, instrumentation, and control room engineering.

Proficiency in high-power motion control system calculations.

Expertise in control panel/control room design and standards.

Experience with strategic-grade cables (Teflon/PVC/PU) and harness design.

Knowledge of noise control, EMI shielding, and relay-based safety interlocking.

Experience with earth pit design, lightning protection, and system validation.

Proficiency in ECAD tools such as KiCAD, Altium, Eagle or equivalent tools.

Familiarity with measurement instruments and harness manufacturing tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
