Core Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Develop and improve electrical products, components, and systems, from microchips to power generation equipment.
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct tests to ensure products, components, and systems are functional, safe, and meet specifications.
- System Implementation: Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs and systems adhere to electrical engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in electrical assemblies, systems, and equipment to maintain performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications, often using CAD software.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or diploma is typically required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and power systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for creating technical drawings and schematics.
- Soft Skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English for reports and team collaboration.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring accuracy in designs and safety standards.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers and technical staff.
Work Environment Electrical engineers work across various industries, including Solar, energy, construction, and technology. Their work can involve both office-based design and on-site supervision of manufacturing, installation, and testing.
