Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

Lead the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of all electrical and power systems for the telecom and utility projects. Responsible for AC/DC power supply, battery backups, UPS, DC chargers, panels, grounding, and auxiliary power systems. Ensures systems are designed, implemented, and tested to meet the full load requirements of the telecom infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical power systems for telecom equipment, including AC/DC supply, battery backups, UPS, and DC chargers.
• Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and panel designs based on load requirements and redundancy needs.
• Conduct site surveys to assess power availability, load distribution, and capacity planning.
• Conduct installation, testing, and verification of power systems, panels, batteries, chargers, and grounding/earthing.
• Perform calculations for load distribution, redundancy, battery sizing, and power consumption to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical and power-related queries across the project.
• Conduct thorough practical testing and validation of all electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, batteries, DC chargers, UPS, and panels, using multimeters, clamp meters, DC load testers, insulation testers, and other electrical tools to ensure reliable operation and compliance with design requirements.
• Coordinate closely with telecom commissioning and protection teams to ensure proper integration.
• Ensure practical implementation of electrical systems aligns with safety, reliability, and operational requirements.
• Oversee documentation, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports related to electrical systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with strong practical experience.
• Expert knowledge of AC/DC power systems, UPS, batteries, DC chargers, panels, and grounding/earthing.
• Practical experience designing and implementing power systems based on load calculations and redundancy requirements.
• Hands-on experience in supervising electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of power systems in large scale projects.
• Strong understanding of auxiliary power systems, panel design, and cable routing.
• Skilled in preparing structured test reports and maintaining technical documentation.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.

Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning for telecom, utility, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience as the lead for power systems, responsible for end-to-end design, installation, and commissioning.
• Practical experience in battery sizing, DC charger configuration, telecom power equipment, UPS integration, and panel design/testing.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to installation teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
