Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a qualified Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing fire alarm, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems in line with project specifications and authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for fire alarm, emergency lighting, and other fire & life safety systems based on approved designs and project specifications.
• Develop accurate as-built drawings reflecting actual site installation and modifications after project completion.
• Must be highly efficient in AutoCAD, including layout preparation, schematic drawings, single line diagrams (SLD), riser diagrams, and coordination drawings.
• Revise and update drawings as per consultant comments, authority requirements, and site conditions.
• Coordinate with site engineers to ensure drawings match installation progress and avoid discrepancies.
• Maintain proper drawing revision control and documentation records.
• Prepare detailed device layout drawings with correct zoning, loop configuration, and cable routing.
• Ensure drawings comply with local authority standards such as Civil Defence Abu Dhabi and Dubai Civil Defence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, schematics, and layout drawings efficiently and accurately.
• Experience in designing fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Good knowledge of local authority regulations such as Civil Defence Abu Dhabi and Dubai Civil Defence.
• Familiarity with international standards such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
• Ability to prepare load calculations, battery calculations, and cause & effect matrix.
• Experience in preparing technical submittals and material approval documents.
• Strong coordination skills with site, mechanical, and architectural teams.
• Good understanding of fire alarm panels and devices from approved manufacturers.
• Strong documentation control and revision management skills.
• Good communication skills for coordination with consultants and authorities.
