Electrical Engineer — Solar/PV / Substation (KSA)

Job Description

We’re hiring an Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in Solar PV plants or High-Voltage Substations for our project in Saudi Arabia. You’ll be responsible for electrical design reviews, site execution, testing/commissioning, and ensuring all works meet KSA standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for PV plants or substations (33/66/110/132 kV)
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load calculations, cable schedules, and design documents
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and local authorities
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with SEC, NG, and KSA electrical codes
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure quality control, material inspections, and safety compliance
• Prepare daily/weekly project reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Solar PV or HV Substation projects
• Strong knowledge of inverters, transformers, protection systems, switchgear
• Experience with testing tools (megger, relay testing kits, etc.)
• Familiar with Autocad, ETAP, PVsyst (added advantage)
• Strong English communication; Arabic is a plus
• Willing to relocate/work in KSA
