We are partnered with a growing construction organization seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team.

This role is focused on preparing accurate, detailed estimates for electrical systems across commercial and industrial projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to build complete estimates from concept through bid submission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate estimates
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for electrical systems (power, lighting, low voltage)
  • Interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and specifications
  • Assemble complete, organized estimates within project deadlines
  • Issue RFIs to clarify scope gaps, conflicts, or missing information
  • Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bid packages
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotes for scope compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Develop detailed cost breakdowns to support pre-construction budgeting
  • Compile material and labor data for internal cost tracking
  • Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs as needed
  • Collaborate with other estimators on multi-trade proposals
  • Ensure all estimates align with project scope, drawings, and contract requirements

Qualifications

  • 4–10+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Strong experience with electrical estimating (power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret:
  • Electrical drawings
  • Single-line diagrams
  • Specifications and detail documents
  • Experience with estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, or similar preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through
  • Degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience
  • Combination of field and office experience is a strong plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
