Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Location: UAE
Job Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for determining the approximate costs of electrical installations for our upcoming projects. You will analyze blueprints, calculate material and labor requirements, solicit supplier quotes, and prepare competitive, profitable bid packages. Your work will directly influence our project budgeting and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret architectural and electrical tender drawings, schematics, specifications, BOQs and technical documents to understand the full scope of work.
  • Cost Calculation: Determine exact quantities, types, and costs of materials, equipment, and fixtures needed for each project.
  • Assessment: Estimate the total labor hours, Subcontractor and costs required to complete projects efficiently.
  • Vendor Coordination: Request, compare, and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best rates.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit professional, competitive cost estimates and tender packages, commercial conditions within strict deadlines.
  • Budgeting: Identify the risks on cost saving with budget and price monitoring
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all estimates and proposed designs align with UAE electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Database Management: Keep organized records of past estimates, supplier offers, and historical cost data to improve future bidding accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in Electrical and ELV Estimating, specifically within the UAE or GCC construction market.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in electrical estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and draft in AutoCAD.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical systems (lighting, power, low current systems), supply chain costs, and local electrical regulations.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related trade qualification (or equivalent work experience).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and strong negotiation and communication skills.
