Electrical Inspector

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to inspect and monitor electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical installations including power, lighting, cabling, containment, grounding/earthing, ELV, fire alarm, and emergency systems.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and ITPs.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and verify test results.
• Inspect materials and workmanship; identify non-conformities and issue site observations or NCRs.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi DMT, Civil Defense, and applicable electrical codes and standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Inspector in the UAE.
• Strong experience in building projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Familiar with Abu Dhabi authority requirements and inspection procedures.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Experience on Aldar projects is a strong advantage.
