Job Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery within the facility. The role involves conducting preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.

• Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, motors, drives, PLC systems, and other electrical components.

• Ensure minimal downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns.

Equipment Monitoring

• Monitor electrical systems and equipment performance to detect potential issues.

• Maintain logs of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant standards and safety regulations.

• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective measures.

• Adhere to all facility safety protocols and promote electrical safety awareness.

Projects & Upgrades

• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery or electrical systems.

• Support electrical improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams, maintenance reports, spare parts records, and SOPs.

• Update electrical schematics and technical files whenever modifications are made.

Coordination

• Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance, and external vendors when required.

• Train operators/technicians on safe use and handling of electrical equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.
