Job Purpose
Operate, maintain and repair the HV, MV and LV electrical networks and equipment on site. Manage shift works, sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities

Organize and prepare preventive maintenance shutdown works for MV and LV equipment and systems.

Organize and prepare MV/LV system repair/ modification shutdown works.

Prepare requisitions for materials required for maintenance and repair.

Fault finding and repair on MV electrical/ control systems within the facility including MV Switchgear, transformer, MDB, emergency lightings, VFD’s, energy monitoring systems, BMS systems, LV infrastructure.

Maintain 100% uptime of MV electrical services.

Carry out routine testing to determine condition of MV and LV electrical systems and recommend/ implement corrective actions.

Design and install small LV electrical projects i.e., radial supply, ring supply.

Create Technical and Incident reports,SOP and RA for HV system

Create PPM Job planner and Issue work from MAXIMO system and input details of maintenance and repair into the MAXIMO systems.

Organize subordinators attendance and control sub-contractors working on electrical systems when on site.

Operate within a safe system of work for electrical systems, prepare switching plans, PTW, isolation certificates, limitation of access, maintain central record of switching operations, sub log books, LOTO etc.

Use of electrical test equipment including Insulation Resistance, Ductor set, Power quality Analyzer test, secondary injection, PD detection, Thermographic, HiPot Cable Testing, Hot Phasing, cable detection.

Preparation of periodic/ installation/ minor electrical test certificates.

Work hours shift system days/ nights.

Ensure all works are carried int the line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety, Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills

Must have at least 5 years work experience with operation and maintenance HV and LV switchgear.

Must hold recognized Degree/ Diploma applicable for electrical engineering.

Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

Ability to read, write and speak in clear English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Completed power electrical based apprenticeship, electrical test and inspection qualification.

Valid Driver’s License.
