Job Purpose

To perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all electrical equipment in oil & gas production, processing, and utility areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, panels, MCCs, switchgears, transformers, motors, and control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities as per CMMS schedules and report job completion.
  • Support electrical installation and commissioning of new equipment and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and permit-to-work systems (PTW).
  • Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and spare parts lists.
  • Participate in shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance as required.
  • Collaborate with instrumentation and mechanical teams to ensure integrated plant reliability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV equipment, control circuits, and protection systems.
  • Familiar with hazardous area classifications (Ex-proof equipment).
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC / NEC).
  • Basic computer literacy for CMMS reporting.
