Solar Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of solar panels and associated components.
• Diagnose and repair system faults, wiring issues, and inverter problems.
• Ensure all work complies with Qatar’s local regulations and safety standards (Kahramaa/HSE).
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Prepare basic installation reports and documentation.
• Assist in system performance testing and provide improvement recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in solar PV installation or electrical maintenance (preferably in Qatar or GCC).
• Strong understanding of solar system components, wiring, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with testing equipment, tools, and solar monitoring systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a transferable visa (immediate joiners preferred).
