Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer- Generator Maintenance

Responsible for the installation, operation, preventive and corrective maintenance of diesel generators and associated systems. Ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of diesel generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in generators.
• Monitor generator performance, fuel consumption, and efficiency.
• Ensure proper functioning of ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) and control panels.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance logs and reports.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new generators.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of power.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and tools.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in generator maintenance (preferably telecom or industrial sector).
• Valid Qatar Driving License preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel generator systems, control panels, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in telecom site maintenance.
• Knowledge of fuel systems and load management.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
